Dr. Campbell graduated from the University of Waterloo with his Bachelor of Science and his Doctorate of Optometry degree in 1988. He completed a therapeutics course in 1995 from the Northeastern State University, College of Optometry in Oklahoma.

Dr. Campbell’s eye care passion lies within general practice, encompassing a wide range of focuses such as vision testing, pre and post-laser follow-up, children’s vision care, contact lenses, pre and post-cataract assessments, and therapeutics management. Dr. Campbell continues to broaden his practice scope, so he can provide further treatment services to his patients.

Dr. Campbell has participated in an eye care mission in Guyana to provide eye care to the underprivileged. He has held the position of past president of the Ottawa Optometric Association and currently holds memberships with the Ontario Association of Optometrists and the Canadian Association of Optometrists.

In his spare time, Dr. Campbell enjoys music, travel, gardening, skiing, and cycling.

Dr. Nazli Sammak is originally from Iran, where she obtained a high honours bachelor’s degree in heritage architecture from the University of Tehran. She moved to Saskatoon, SK, in 2009. She attended the University of Saskatchewan for her undergraduate degree in regional and urban planning, from which she graduated with high honours. She obtained her Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago.

Her externship training was at the Veteran’s Affair Hospital in Southern Oregon (VOSRCC), the Henderson Vision Centre in Winnipeg, and the Imperial Healthcare Hospital in Dubai provided her experience across many specialties, including glaucoma, vision rehabilitation, and ophthalmology (pre and post-operative).

In her spare time, Nazli enjoys reading, travelling, baking, cooking, and spending time outdoors. She is also conversant in Persian and Arabic.

Dr. Sammak, originally from Iran, holds a Master of Handicraft with high honors from Tehran. She pursued further education in Canada, focusing on Biology at the University of Saskatchewan and obtaining a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2021. Her extensive clinical experience in the USA includes working with geriatric patients facing various ocular challenges, such as cataracts, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy, and vision rehabilitation. Collaboration with ophthalmologists at the Herzig Institute enriched her knowledge of corneal and retinal conditions.

Passionate about optometry, Dr. Sammak offers comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, creating a welcoming and comforting environment. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys family time, biking, swimming, and classical music. Fluent in English and Farsi, she is learning French. Dr. Sammak is accepting new patients at our Ottawa clinic.

With over 5 years of experience in team development and a Diploma in Business Entrepreneurship- Small Business Management, she is committed to growing the business through our  Social Media. She is a very down to earth person, who keeps things running smoothly so our team can focus on providing you with the best care and support. When she is not in the office, she is exploring Ottawa with her little family, or cooking up something special in the kitchen.
